Problem

Financial reporting on production ran through hand-maintained Excel files, slow to produce, fragile to hand over, and disconnected from the operational data behind it.

Solution

A Django system that ingests operational and Excel data into a database and serves role-gated modules for daily finance reporting, standards-versus-actual costing, and compliance records, with exports in the formats finance already uses.

Impact

The daily finance picture comes from a system rather than a spreadsheet owner’s laptop, with history and drill-down built in. In production use today.
